Bamburi Cement Limited wishes to announce the resignation of Betty Kanyagia as Company Secretary, which resignation has been accepted by the Board of Directors with regret. The Board thanks Betty for her contribution and wishes her the very best for the future.
The Company is pleased to announce the subsequent appointment of Waeni Ngea as Company Secretary effective 25 July 2020.
Waeni is a practicing advocate experienced in legal and corporate governance matters and recently joined the Company as the Head of Legal & Compliance. Prior to joining the Company, she worked with British American Tobacco Kenya plc as Head of Legal & Company Secretary and before that with Unilever Kenya Limited as Legal Counsel, supporting the East Africa Area. She holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LL. B) from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya and a Council Member of the Association of Retirement Benefit Schemes (ARBS).
The Board warmly welcomes Waeni to the Bamburi Group.
