The Board of Directors of Bamburi Cement PLC (the “Company”) announces the following changes:

Resignations

  1. Mr. John Stull

    • A Non-Executive Director from the Holcim Group

    • Resigned effective 31st March 2023

    • Appointed to the Board on 16th April 2021

    • Held the role of Holcim Area Manager, Sub-Sahara Africa

  2. Mr. Guillaume Dubreuil

    • A Non-Executive Director of the Company

    • Resigned effective 31st March 2023

    • Appointed to the Board on 16th June 2022

    • Held the role of Chief Finance Officer, Asia, Middle East & Africa

New Appointments (Effective 1st April 2023, subject to regulatory approvals)

  1. Mr. Rajesh Surana (Indian National)

    • Appointed as a Non-Executive Director

    • Also taking over as the Holcim Area Manager, East & South Africa

    • Experience:

      • 20+ years of leadership in multinational companies

      • 17 years in Holcim Group across various leadership roles

    • Previous Roles:

      • Director, Strategic Projects Asia (Holcim Group Services)

      • CEO, Holcim Bangladesh

      • CFO, Holcim Lanka & CFO Holcim Services South Asia

    • Qualifications:

      • Fellow of both the Chartered Accountants Institute of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India

      • Bachelor of Commerce (Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, India)

  2. Ms. Sonal Shrivastava (Indian National)

    • Appointed as a Non-Executive Director

    • Also taking over as Chief Finance Officer, Asia, Middle East & Africa

    • Experience:

      • 25+ years in finance, accounting, business strategy, risk & compliance

      • Regional CFO at Holcim Asia & Middle East Africa region (Mumbai)

    • Previous Roles:

      • Worked with Lafarge Group SA – Paris, France and Lafarge India

    • Additional Experience:

      • Associated with Mining, Private Equity, and Renewable Energy sectors

      • Linked to firms such as Hindustan Zinc Limited and Duet India Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.

    • Qualifications:

      • Master’s in Management Studies, Finance (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University, India)

      • Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering (BIT Sindri, India)

    • Other Roles:

      • Board member of various Holcim Group Companies
