Using TectorCeram SETI 300
Surface Preparation
Substrate should be structurally sound, clean and free of any contaminants that may reduce or prevent proper adhesion.
Clean the surface to remove dust and dirt, loose particles, grease and any traces of foreign material using wire brush and sand paper.
Mixing
a. Take about 6 – 7 litres of clean water for use with 25kgs of TectorCeram SETI 300
b. Mix TectorCeram SETI 300 with water to achieve the required/right consistency (should have a creamy consistency)
c. Allow the mix to stand for about 5 – 10 minutes and then mix again before applying
Application
a. Dampen the surface with clean water (wipe out or allow excess water to drain off)
b. Apply mixed TectorCeram SETI 300 using a notched trowel to a thickness of about 2 -3 mm
c. Place the tile in place and tap gently with wooden hammer
d. Remove excess substrate from the tile using a damp cloth
Precaution
TectorCeram SETI 300 is non-toxic. However, being a cementitious material, avoid eye and prolonged skin contact. It is recommended to use protective gloves, dust masks and goggles during handling.
